Service Description

A supportive community of colleagues working in education and other caretaking roles. This weekly 30-minute online group meets through June 7th. Sessions will support teachers and other education professionals with a safe space to practice mindfulness and integrate embodied practices and skills into daily life. Sessions will focus on the cultivation of self-compassion, peaceful mind and body, and present-centered awareness. Benefits of attending potentially include: positive affect, greater clarity, understanding and trust, and resources and tools for increasing compassion, awareness and connection. These benefits will be amplified by your commitment and engagement to the practices. Sessions start with a 10-minute guided meditation practice. After spending time increasing our present-centered awareness, we then explore the practice to enrich and encourage the integration of mindfulness into daily practice. We then open the floor to check-ins where individuals have the opportunity to share with the group something arising in their practice or their current experience. This sharing can include thoughts, feelings, sensations, curiosities, concerns, anxieties, etc. What is shared is brought into mindful awareness of both the individual and the group. The group members offer their deep listening, grounded presence, and silent attunement. We end with a short grounding practice, exchange helpful resources and materials, and share gratitude for each other and the practice. New group(s) forming now starting Thursdays at 4:30pm PT/5:30MT/6:30CT/7:30ET. As additional need arises, more dates and times will be offered. This will be an open group; however please aim to consistently attend for the benefit of the group and your practice. Click on the "Book Now" link above to register before noon the day of practice. This allows time for the Zoom link to be sent to you in time to join the session on Thursday. Accessibility is a key value of my practice. This course is donation-based to welcome everyone regardless of financial circumstances or other concerns. Suggested donation $10 per session through Venmo @Lisa-Lachlan. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. That said, donations are encouraged to strengthen your commitment to this practice and benefit others with the continuation of these services. Please contact me at lisalachlan@gmail.com for more information regarding pricing and registration.
